despite the crazy schedule these days,

i managed to catch one of the performances at the

beijing music festival.

this one's the entire italian orchestra

they played 2 rather obscure pieces from bizet but i can't seem to recall the third piece

in any case,

it's music so beautiful

i'm almost moved to tears...

it's been sooo long i've been to a live classical performance

i really missed that.

also, the entire beijing went crazy over halloween.

and also, going wild over preparations for

christmas

and

new year

AND

chinese new year

tis the season to be merry - falalalala lalala

but what's the deal with a country like china celebrating halloween and xmas?

i guess it's easy to figure,

but the truth is just a little hard to accept...
