<the last rose>

this rose plant sits outside the house.

the gardener told me that the roses stop blooming in mid-october when the weather gets chillier.

but i've been watching this particular bud for the last 2 weeks.

it looked like it was going to bloom.

yet, so unlikely, since the temperature falls below 0deg cel at night.

the birds are gone

the trees are shedding their leaves fast

but this one struggles quietly.

this morning, i couldn't resist capturing the moment

of victory

for being the last rose of the year.

i'm so proud of my little rose plant! :)
