Thanks
to Iggy, i found more of what this tiny country has to offer. COL BAR.
@Wessex Estate, Portsdown Road, off AYE Expressway. A far cry from the
air-conditioned, characterless food courts have to offer. a step into
the coffeeshop is lek a step back into the past. we find remnants of
the colonial period peeling off the wall - posters of "Bradford
- A Metropolitan City" &pictures the Queen's Horse Guards.
owners have done little to do up the place, and i think that adds to
the charm.
business
was quiet on a saturday afternoon. a couple of expat kids bitching around
after their football game, a mainland chinese family lunching and an
indian motorbike rider who dropped in for a pack of cigarettes was all
there was. i had the best nasi goreng ever! ak thoroughly enjoyed his
teh-o, after his bacon and omelette. in a food court, we finish the
food and leave. but here, we sat around for an hour or so.. just chilling
and watching some archers at the field missing their bullseye.

got
home with a couple of mosquito bites. but that's not stopping me from
going back there again.
